Do you know any bad rumors/stereotypes or interesting myths/legends about tarot cards in general?

there are some things that would sort of fit that bill

kinda falsehoods you hear a lot:

• the idea you can’t buy your own first tarot deck, that it has to be given to you secondhand
• tarot cards are oh!so!fucking!occult! and dangerous!! somehow!!
• the devil or something will haunt ur ass for touching them
• the death card means you will die (…..does anyone actually belibe that)
• they tell you TEH EXACT FUTURE (its just advice, srsly)

trueish stuff

• decks can sass you
• decks call you out on your shit
• they have their own personalities almost
• different decks will treat you differently
• some decks misbehave
• if someone else touches your deck it can throw off the energies it was previously attuned to (idk this one)
• you gotta break in/ get to know a tarot deck when you first buy it
• sleeping with your tarot deck under ur pillow can help you connect with it (personally i feel this one, others may not)
