Omg I’m so glad to see people defending ace people. My best friend is ace and doesn’t tell many people because of the negative reactions people have toward it, so it really makes me happy to see people treating ace people with the respect they deserve.

Pointing out: this is the fourth message I’ve gotten with someone thanking me for defending them, and saying they were afraid of telling anyone about their aro/ace identity out of fear for hate, negative reactions, etc……

This is huge. How dare anyone say Ace/Aro folks don’t face the same struggles as the rest of the LGBTQIA? We all face these struggles in this community, for many reasons, and in many different severities. How sad is it that it comes from within that community too?
