So, I had a really nasty energy block in my chest. It felt like all my energy “veins” were filled with mud. It made magic HARD. I got tired of not finding solutions and decided to do something about it my damn self.
*Best if performed during a waning moon, since it’s a spell about dissolving blocks!
What You Need*:
Basalm Fir (I used ground chips) for moving forward, taking down obstacles, and progress
Sea Salt for cleansing/clearing everything out
Coffee Beans (preferably whole) for energy, drive, and overcoming internal blockages
Lavender (I use lavender to represent myself sometimes with herbs, since I’ve had a connection to it all my life. Feel free to replace this with your personal “power herb.” If you don’t have one, lavender is still good for cleansing!)
Fern for cleansing, purification, and protection for good measure!
Something representing fire (I used ashes from “fire” flavored incense I burned while making this) to help “burn away” the gunk
*As always, things can be substituted or used in different forms than I did. You do you!
What You Do:
Set up/ invoke whatever you usually like to do for magic work. I just did the five basic elements for this one since I’m secular. It’s also totally cool to skip this step and just go for it, but my energy block was particularly bad so I wanted to make it more of a ritual.
Add your ground-up ingredients first. That means basalm fir, salt, and coffee if you don’t have whole beans. Make cute lil’ layers if you want. As you add them, say out loud what you’re adding and what it’s purpose in the spell.
Time to add the chunky stuff! Coffee beans, fern, and lavender (if you’re using it still on the stem.) Like before, add why it’s there. (I use lavender to represent how I will be surrounded by the positive forces in the jar, like the lavender is literally.)
Declare something along these lines: “This spell jar and the contents within will aid me in removing the energy blocks inside of me, so I can more fully continue to enjoy and practice my craft. Thank you, so mote it be!”
Close the jar and seal it if you wish. As you do, visualize yourself without these blocks, how relieving and open it will feel, how freely your energy will flow, and how powerful you will be without this obstacle. If you feel the block physically, think about what you will feel there instead.
Do your usual cleanup after spell work, and maybe let the jar hang out in the sun for a while. It was designed with the element of fire in mind, after all.
