Love your blog stumbled across it! I had a question. I’m knew to Hellenism and I see on tumblr a lot people saying they speak to the gods/the gods tell them things. Do people try and reach them through meditation? Also, is their ways to be a Hellenic Pagan without offerings and alters? I unfortunately cannot do that because I still live at home. Thank you in advance if you get the chance to answer this :)

Hello!!! Thank you so much for the question. You can definitely do meditations to connect with the gods and goddesses and you also just talk at them and pray. Sometimes they even answer in cool ways! And no, I don’t believe you need an altar or physical offerings to practice Hellenism. If you really want to do that, though, you could always do an online altar! And write the gods and goddesses offerings on there, etc. I hope this helped!

I like to write my prayers in a journal! Other options are to keep a wish jar or drawa doodle as an offering. Also you can consume your offerings of food/drink yourself and that still counts! Of you’re not comfortable with that you can make your offerings directly to associated plants or animals (i.e. if you want to make a discreet offering to Hades you can make a special treat to feed to your own dog, etc).
