aw thanks love! i’ve always had reaally thick hair. i don’t do much to it! no heat, not really any products. it’s been dyed a few times with chemical dyes. i should probably brush it and get it cut a lot more, my ends are so dead.
- i shampoo and condition my hair 1-2 times a week, i try to let it go as long as i can in between washes.
- brushing is my downfall but helps so much, detangling and distributing the natural oils!
- i also use 1:1 cocoa powder + cornstarch as dry shampoo when needed (washing it out smells like chocolate lmao it’s fun).
- i rub a small amount of olive or coconut oil into the ends after i shower, or an even smaller amount over my hair when it’s dry after brushing, and then i’ll brush it in a bit more, to help with frizz/fly aways
- once in a while i’ll do hot oil treatments as well!! probably not as much as i should!
- i sleep on a satin pillow case, which i heard helps, but i read sleeping in braids will help even more and i am so lazy and can’t braid my own hair
- when i do get it cut, or cut it myself, i don’t do layers or that pointed v shaped in the back. i just prefer my hair to be all one length (besides bangs), which keeps it thicker
- i use herbal infused apple cider vinegar rinses, more so in the summer when i’m in garden/harvest mode
