another thing on forgiving abusive parents: i can’t imagine what they would have to do for me to be able to forgive them. because they ruined 18 years of my life directly, and they’re gonna negatively impact the rest and i just???? how do you pay someone back for that???? they can’t give me back those years, they can’t give me another shot at childhood. that’s how none of this works. how could they possibly do something so good that it could weigh up against a whole life of abuse???
