Cishet culture is literally ruining all good things
glad u asked! here’s a list:
-our human rights (self explanatory)
-any joke we make (this is heterophobic!! how would you like it if i said that about you gays!!)
-fashion (straights take gay trends in fashion and complain when gay ppl hit on them)
-good movies/books with unnecessary romantic subplots
-romantic subplots with unnecessary love triangles
-our ability to adopt children
-our ability to marry
-our ability to donate blood
-our community by allowing the AIDS crisis to happen (cishets did not care that gay people were dying, they laughed about it and they still laugh about it now)
-our lives (they literally bully us, shame us, rape us and kill us)
-our nightclubs (they treat these like zoos to go with their straight friends to, they get offended when gay people hit on them and sometimes they straight up kill us in our only safe spaces)
-lgbt youth groups (cis straights won’t let us have anything for ourselves, they’ll force themselves into support groups for lgbt kids and make sure we cannot talk about our issues)
-video games (straights will not allow lgbt characters, they will turn in game chats into homophobic shitfests and nothing will be done about it)
-our terminology (gay was seen as bad and offensive, lesbian is a “dirty” word and a porn category, butch and femme are stolen from lesbians everyday and misused, bi=threesome, indecisive, curious, promiscuous, they took tr*nny coined by transfeminine individuals and twisted it to the point of it becoming a slur)
-the colour pink
-our confidence (they will shame and laugh at us no matter what we do and how we look, they’ll constantly apply stereotypes to us and pick apart everything that we are until we hate ourselves)
-our relationships (they will turn our love into fear, they won’t let us show affection or hold hands because it’s wrong and dirty and sexual)
-our kids (they will raise their children to bully our kids if we choose to have any, look at that freak with gay parents, they’ll make it hell for them to the point where a lot of us choose not to have kids out of not wanting to put a child through that and then turn and call us selfish. bonus point for this: they will destroy lgbt kids mentally and physically, we kill ourselves everyday because of what we go through and then they’ll have the nerve to make fun of it and act like our lives are perfectly fine)
anyway that’s all i can think of rn feel free to add
-will try to ruin perfectly good friendships between people of different genders by INSISTING that the two HAVE to date
-assume a person of one gender with a circle of friends of a different gender is LGBT (as if it’s bad) bc they’re not intimately involved
-Insist that LGBT people are inherently predatory and “a danger to our women and children” but leave predatory cishets completely unchecked and make excuses for their repeat offenses when it makes headlines
-Immediately force creepy heteronormative bullshit on newborn babies (an infant boy interacting with girls makes him a “ladykiller”)
