One of the things you might be able to do in a smaller area that is still super helpful is a Food Not Bombs! Especially if you are in the US, a lot of conservatives in the United States think that “left-wing” is synonymous with “federal government control,” so they are normally taken off guard or even supportive of programs like Food Not Bombs, which is literally just direct mutual aid by feeding the poor and homeless in your community.

Most small communities often still have public libraries. That might be the only public community space in your town, but they often have fliers and stuff about whatever services they can offer! Sometimes you can volunteer with them and they really want volunteers! You might consider helping the library out and promoting anarchist and libertarian socialist books and ideas that way. Those are some small ideas!
