fear is useless and temporary. greet every dawn like it’s the beginning of a new life. learn all you can. drink in all the colors and tastes and songs that this earth offers you day after day. get enough sleep and drink enough water. eat fruit and salads. wear blush on your nose and try sparkly eyeshadow. get a squeaky violin and learn how to play it so loud that your neighbors can hear. go through four, five, six sketchbooks. buy paint and use every drop. try on ugly sweaters at thrift stores. create. create create create. the sun is tired yet she crawls over the horizon every day and so will you. the moon aches yet she bathes you in silver each night. sometimes the days drip by slower than amber honey but they do go by and you will go with them. like water lapping the shore, eager for a semblance of taste, let them carry you. hear them say to you
