Things that will be in the ideal solarpunk community

– solar power/motorized wheelchair-machines and corresponding infrastructure for them

– Healthcare for everyone who needs it. Everyone.

– accessibility as a key part of architecture. If you can’t make it accessible, don’t bother submitting the plans

– non-capitalistic economic structure, so no human is ranked by their productive output

– extensive public transit.

– events will have seating, indoor space, climate control, transcripts, captions, food labeled with allergens, braille and large text options for written material, recordings, and any interpreters needed.

– keep vital resources within a reasonable distance of residential areas

– large social programs for support.

– you got a book coming out? it’s going in audio and in braille. you got a webpage? put it in contrasting background for dyslexic viewers. Plan for accessibility from the beginning.
