It’s a western perspective to think of gender/sexualities as something to analyze and pick apart. Gender/sexuality is circles, gender/sexuality is nature. If someone identifies in a way you disagree with, why? Why do the words that feel good to them bother you? Is it an us/them binary thought? Question yourself. Do the words that they use for themselves cause you harm out of maliciousness? Or is it a personal wound that you are pushing onto their experience? Food for thought.
