Oh man there are soooooo many things!! Summer is Aphrodite and Persephone’s playground! I’m gonna make a list of things that come to mind for each Goddess but you can also interchange them honestly
Aphrodite
Beach it UP!!
Volunteer to help clean the beach or just do it while you’re beaching it up!
Collect seashells
Learn to surf, scuba, or swim if you don’t know how
Apply sunscreen EVERY DAY (That’s a hardcore devotional act right there!)
Spend more time outside (WEARING SUNSCREEN!) Read outside. Meditate outside. Go for a walk. Scroll through tumblr outside. Ask Jessie questions outside, lol! Just try and be outside more!
Fuck society and get that god damn bathing suit that you know you look fucking HOT in!
And also wear a crop top/short shorts/cute dress/be shirtless whatever it is! Flip society the bird and be fabulously you!
Also again SUNSCREEN!
Take the time to appreciate the beauty of Summer and what that means to you
Check out what local events that are happening around you. Like the community centers in my area do movies by the beach and at the park. They are a lot of fun and usually free! So check out what summer events you and your friends can go to
You can also celebrate Adonia since it was traditionally a summer festival. I personally view it in the Fall tho
Just honestly have FUN! Whatever that means for you. Just enjoy yourself! Have a water balloon fight or a super soaker fight. Drive around singing pop songs at the top of your lungs. Dance with the fireflies at night. Whatever it is that you want to do, do it! That most Aphrodite thing in the world is allowing yourself to be truly and deeply happy!
And wearing sunscreen! That is the second most Aphrodite thing in the world!
Persephone (And pretty much Demeter as well)
Start a garden or just get one plant friend to take care of
Go to a farmers market
Treat yourself (and Persephone) to some fresh flowers
Eat more fresh fruits and veggies
Be barefoot and just allow yourself to connect deeper with nature
Spend time with your mom or a trusted female figure in your life. Or really just spend time with your loved ones
Allow yourself to laugh more
Be more present and try not to let the worries of the future keep you from appreciating today
Be mindful on your impact on the environment and how you can do better
And in the spirit of that, do something for the environment, whatever it may be
Do some nature walks/trails
Embrace your inner child and allow yourself to have fun like one again. Go to the playground. Jump through the sprinkler. Climb a tree.
Oh and also WEAR SOME GOD DAMN SUNSCREEN!! Yes it is also a very Persephone thing to do!
It contains fake pink pearls, a broche, crystals for attracting love, a letter I wrote to her, white dove feathers, dried roses, and a Norse krone with a dove on it.
the great goddess aphrodite, patron of womanhood and beauty, is a patron to transgender women.
aphrodite, who is war as much as peace, stands by all trans women who must fight for their place in this world.
aphrodite, who is love, shines her adoration on all trans women who welcome it. she knows your heart, and she knows you have earned your place in her heart, too.
Laughter-loving Aphrodite crowned in roses, myrtle, and apple blossoms for Valentine’s Day.
Aphrodite has always been my favorite Olympian (with Hera and Hermes occupying the other top spots) and I don’t know why. I like to think it’s because she’s the most feared…
I inhale as sage burns. The smoke wraps around me and my mind quiets. It fills me and Hecate is there.
I have never felt Artemis with a bow in my hand. I have never been so skilled. instead, I sit next to her in old trees. We listen to the air.
Aphrodite is near me when I gaze at myself in the mirror and have no hateful thoughts about my body. She swims in my bath water, happy that I am taking care of myself.
Athena is in my intense need for battle and for standing my ground. She helps me flip the pages of my books.
Hestia is there in the candles I light. She flickers and dances in the flame, illuminating my face.
Hera beckons me when I hold my tongue. She stands by as I create my own healing in the silence.
Persephone is in the smell of spring. As the rain hits the pavement and falls down on me, I am in her embrace.
Demeter watches when I must compromise and when I must smile through aches to survive.
