Hot Chocolate Magic ☕

with hot chocolate season on the way, there are a lot of subtle ways to work a little magic into your mug! a compiled list of easy recipes to have some magic in your day

for all recipes, melt chocolate in the microwave, and mix in heated milk.

Caramel 🍬

½ cup milk, 5 oz. chopped milk chocolate, 3 tsps caramel, ¼ cup heavy cream.  for love, kindness, domestic works

Cinnamon Spice 🍃

1 cup milk,  5 oz. chopped dark chocolate, ¼ tsp cinnamon, a pinch cayenne pepper. divination, fortune, healing, power, prosperity, protection, psychic abilities, spirituality, wealth, and wisdom.

Orange 

🍊

1 cup milk,  2 oz. chopped dark chocolate, ½ tbsp sugar, ½ tbsp grated orange peel. for beauty, divination, fortune, love, purification, and wealth.

White Lavender 🌾

1 cup whole milk, ½ chopped white chocolate, ¼ tsp lavender flowers. for chastity, happiness, love, peace, protection, and purification.

Peppermint 🍬

1 cup whole milk, ½ cup chopped milk chocolate, 1 peppermint candy.  for healing, love, psychic abilities, and purification.

Pumpkin Spice 🎃 

1 cup whole milk,  1 tsp. chocolate powder, ½ tsp pumpkin spice, 1 tsp. maple syrup.  for banishment, divination, healing, prosperity, and protection

Hazelnut 🌰

1 cup whole milk, a pinch salt, 1 tsp cocoa, 2 tbsp nutella or ¼ tsp hazelnut extract.  for fertility, protection against evil, creativity, intuition, and psychic abilities

Vanilla 🌾

½ cup milk, 5 oz. chopped milk chocolate, 1 tsp vanilla extract. for happiness, love, and lust.

Peanut Butter 🌰

1 cup skim milk,  2 oz. chopped dark chocolate, ¼ cup peanut butter, add cream to taste. for wealth, love, and fortune.

Fairy Spice Cakes

These delicious cakes are best left in the garden for the Elemental Folk on nights such as Samhain or Lammas.

½ cup sweet Muscat wine
2 tablespoons fine brown sugar
1 large egg
⅔ cup flour
½ teaspoon poppy seeds
⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
⅛ teaspoon salt
Sunflower oil for frying

Mix the egg and the Muscat wine in a bowl. In a smaller bowl, mix together the flour, poppy seeds, cinnamon, sugar and salt. Stir this into the egg mixture. Let it stand for about ½ hour. Combine the nutmeg and honey in a small bowl. Heat some oil in a frying pan (about ½ inch in the bottom) until it’s hot. Drop the batter into the oil one generous spoonful each time and fry until golden. Place on paper towels to drain and then dip into the honey mix. Delicious!

After a weekend of indulging more than normal (whatever, it happens 🤷🏼‍♀️🍰🍔), I was ready for my homemade ‘back to basics’ meals! I didn’t cut food intake/calories today even though I indulged this weekend – I kept the intake normal to my low-carb days and simply stuck to more whole, nutrient-dense options 🤗

Why? Because every time I eat out and/or indulge for several meals in a row, I’m reminded of how much better I feel when I eat majority whole, healthier foods! 🙌🏻 that’s enough to keep me consistently eating meals like this 👇🏻

🍎Meal 2: apple + 2 hard-boiled eggs
🍠Meal 3: chicken, sweet potato, broccoli

Here’s a look at my #fooddiary for the week, Intermittent Fasting (IF) edition for ya. I’ve been doing IF consistency for over a year now and love it.
.
AM till noon – I only drink black coffee. Recently been loving these @foursigmatic mushroom coffees! No more caffeine spikes! They’re great!
12:30 pm – My “"Break-Fast”“ aka lunch consist of a spinach salad with sautéed mushrooms and red peppers topped with sautéed ground turkey. Raw almonds and apple on the side.
4:00 pm – Snack – 2 boiled eggs, carrots and cherry tomatoes.
8:00 pm – Dinner – Grilled homemade turkey burgers, steamed kale and baked sweet potatoes. I have some fruits after dinner.
10:00 pm – @foursigmatic Reishi mushroom elixir drink. It helps relaxes, destress and get amazing deep sleep!
